A New Head Coach For Track & Field At HLGU

by Dillon Dildine / December 8, 2021

Hannibal-LaGrange University hired Luke Stoffel as the new head coach for the men’s and women’s cross country and track and field teams. Stoffel took the role from former head coach Andy Lemons who stepped down out at the end of last year.

Stoffel was the former coach at Brescia University in Owensboro, Kentucky. At his time there, he coached a total of 68 All-Conference athletes and also three NAIA national qualifiers as well. He is hoping to have even more success here at HLGU. Stoffel already had a very successful first year coaching cross country this season at HLGU. He had multiple runners hit new PR’s and even more, runners qualify for Christian nationals.

Stoffel is now getting ready and preparing his runners for the indoor and outdoor season that is right around the corner. Colton Marrow a hurdler on the track team had this to say about coach Stoffel, “He’s new here at HLGU and so am I as a freshman, we are both excited to reach my goals and grow here together and are both definitely amped to get the indoor season started.” Stoffel is ready, and his runners are excited to keep working with him to reach their goals.
