Hannibal-LaGrange University Women’s Soccer Team traveled to Oskaloosa, Iowa to battle in their second game of the season against William Penn University. This game was game of two half’s and one half went to the other team.

It was a nice cool day for both teams to show what they were capable of. HLGU held the home team to no score in the in the first half. Both teams came out a little slow but were equal. After a long first half of no scoring, the score going into halftime was 0-0.

Elizabeth Scott had this to say about the first half, “We showed that we can keep up against them. We do wish we could have scored on them with the chances we had. Going forward we just have to get those in to get the lead first, but a great half by this team to not let WPU score going into half.”

Following a scoreless game in the first half, that was not the case for the second half. The Trojans came out slow in the second half, and WPU did not. HLGU tried getting their offense going but could not. WPU did and put up three straight goals to the Trojans not scoring back at all. The score stayed that way when the final buzzer went off, and WPU took the win against HLGU. It was a great battle between both teams, but WPU came out on top by a great offense showing up in the second half.
