NFL through Week 10

Week 10 of the NFL kicked off Thursday November 12, with the Indianapolis Colts (5-3) facing off against the Tennessee Titans (6-2) in Thursday Night Football with the Colts favored by 1 point. The game was back and forth until the second half started and the Colts took off with the lead, winning with a score of 34-17, the Titans failed to score a single point in the second half. The win puts the Colts in a first place tie with the Titans at 6-3 but they hold the tie breaker over them with the head to head at 1-0.

Week 10 continued Sunday, November 15, with many matchups having playoff implications. The big takeaway from the week was when Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals (6-3) pulled off a miraculous come from behind victory to beat the Buffalo Bills (7-3). Murray threw a 46 yard ‘Hail Mary’ to star wideout Deandre Hopkins who caught it in the endzone with 3 defenders on him with 2 seconds left in the 4th quarter. The win puts the Cardinals in a three-way tie for first in their division with the Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks all at 6-3. The Cardinals hold the tiebreaker for the three holding a 2-0 division record. The Rams beat the Seahawks Sunday.

The Pittsburg Steelers are 9-0 for the first time in franchise history as they beat the Cincinnati Bengals 36-10. The Steelers rest of schedule has their opponents record at 30-32-1. They rank as the 25th best offense in yards per game, and 6th ranked defense in yards allowed. They are tied for first in interceptions and tied for second in takeaways. If they stand any chance at going 16-0, their defense is the factor that will get them there.

Other winners on the week are the Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Las Vegas Raiders, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints. (QB Drew Brees is set to have MRI done on ribs after he exited game with injury). Brees, future hall of famer and current passing yards and touchdowns leader in NFL history, is in question to play in week 11 vs. the Atlanta Falcons.
