After 6 games, the Los Angeles Lakers won the 2019-20 NBA Finals beating the Miami Heat 4-2. The Heat put up a good fight, but it was clear from the start that the Lakers were in control. Lebron James won MVP for the series after averaging 30.2 points, 11.4 rebounds and 8.2 assists. LeBron contributed 28 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assist in game 6. This is the first Lakers championship in 10 years so the city was definitely excited.
The death of Kobe Bryant in February adds significant impact to the Lakers securing the NBA championship this year. It is so good to see the city gain something after such a devastating loss. A lot of the players and staff members on the team have dedicated the championship to Kobe who had such an impact on their lives and the organization as a whole.
