Volleyball excites but falls short (photo gallery)

The Maybee Sports Complex hosted a nail-biter, five game match on Tuesday when the Trojans faced the visiting Culver Stockton Wildcats.

Although the Trojans ended up falling short in 5th game, it was not before both teams had put on a show. Throughout the course of the evening, the most that either team won a match by was four.

For the Trojans, Senior Ashlyn Spay had 14 kills, 6 blocks, and 6 digs. Sophomore Shirah Foor ended up just one kill shy of her teammate with 13 kills and 27 assists. The Trojans also set season highs as a team with 54 kills along with 84 digs.

The Lady Trojans next matchup is September 13 & 14 at College of the Ozarks tournament in Springfield, MO.
