Local Christian radio station WGCA The Mix just recently celebrated their 30th anniversary with a Michael W. Smith concert in Quincy, IL. The stop in Quincy was part of Smith’s Surrounded by a Million lights world tour.
Smith performed in front of a capacity crowd at The Oakley-Lindsay Center in Quincy. During the show, he payed tribute to his friend, the late Billy Graham, with a slideshow of pictures of the two men while Smith played his song “Friends.”
Australian Nathan Tasker opened up the show for Smith. At the end of his set, Tasker took several minutes to talk about the ministry of child sponsorship through Compassion International.
