HLGU’s Trojan Idol Continues

One of the biggest events for HLGU students is the annual Trojan Idol competition. The HLGU Foster Student Center was packed for the first two rounds as students came out to support their peers in the singing competition. Tryouts consisted of a three judge panel and a 60 second a cappella song.

Three new judges came for the first round to judge the Thursday and Friday night performances. This time, the students got to showcase their talent to music. Students performed songs of different styles, ranging from the musical “Chicago” to music from the band Fall Out Boy.

Ten students made it through to the second round of performances. For the second round, contestants will be singing hits from the ’80s. The second round of Trojan Idol will take place at the Roland Fine Arts Center on February 16th at 9 p.m.
